First established in 1972, Alum Bay Glass is renowned for producing unique glassware that is stunningly beautiful.
Visitors to The Needles can enjoy live glass demonstrations from the area’s skilled craftsmen. From perfume bottles, bowls and ornaments through to an array of intricate doorknobs, you will can watch the Alum Bay glassmakers creating stunning pieces of glasswork which you also have the chance to purchase.
The Needles offers attractions for all ages and even has its very own theme park that your little ones (and big kids!) will love.
Boasting a range of exciting and thrilling rides, as well as well as nostalgic games, adventure golf and water attractions, this theme park is always a hit!
Some of the park’s most popular additions include the Dino Jeep Safari, Water Walkerz, the Tea Cup Ride and Jurassic Adventure Golf.
A boat trip is the ultimate way to take in The Needle’s many stunning views. There are a number of different boat trips leaving daily from the Isle of Wight, all offering panoramic views of Alum Bay, cliffs and lighthouse.
All boat trips run from Easter until late October and are all weather permitting.
This is one of the area’s most popular attractions and is a firm favourite amongst the islands’ locals and visitors.
Allowing you to enjoy a bird’s eye view of The Needles from the famous Needles chair lift, experience stunning views of the water, the Lighthouse, the multi coloured sand and the cliffs.

Sitting 80 feet above high water, The Needles Lighthouse can be spotted from up to 14 miles away at sea level and has been an important part of the Isle of Wight’s landscape for hundreds of years.

The Needles is open all year round from 10:00am until 5:00pm every day.
During the summer months, The Needles is open later and on special events such as ‘Music and Magic in the Skies’ events during August.
